it's been a long long time since i last blog. was very busy la. hai, i failed my driving again. tat's so sad eh? i got 18 points, but i mount that idiotic kerb. i din know tat my car was very near to the kerb when i wanted to get out from the diretional change thingy. sianz.. jimmy said he thought i could pass. but he said, nvm la i'm sure the next time u'll pass. he said he's changing car, his new car is coming out so i can drive new car. he's trying to console me ba.. hahaa.. hafta waste $$ again =( , and my next test in feb. alice is so lucky. she failed on her 2nd attempt too, which is on 13 dec (1 day b4 mine) but her 3rd TP is on 17 dec. i also wan, but dunno how her instructor got it. i dun wanna wait for so long. which means i still hafta take the 2 hours journey to school when sch reopens. =(

okok, shall blog bout my turkey trip. oh, it's not fun la. keep looking at stones, structures, mosque, churches......... ya, i know tat place has got lotsa historical stuffs, but din know it's so boring. and the food there?!?! hmmm.. so sick of it man. i mean they are all about the same. imagine for 10 days u eat almost the same food. so i din really eat when i was there. after a few days, i was super sick of it, so din eat much. and i even think that cup noodles taste nicer. hahaa..
the people i went with were all... hmmmm... how do i say it? ok, there's this family of 4. i think their mother is a chinese teacher. she speaks chinese really well. her elder son is the same age as me, and he's studying medicine. wow.. her younger son is in VS now. then there's this family of 3. their daughter is kinda young la, only 6. but think the dad is older than my dad. but, he's a principal. principal of Punggol Primary School. then there's this family of 3. the dad is a lecturer in SMU. and next is this indian mum and daughter. the mum is a teacher of Serangoon Gardens Sec Sch, and her daughter who's also the same age as me, is studying medicine too. then me and my aunt were like, "wow, they are all damn educated." Ok, and my 'group' consists of me, mummy, edmund, 5th aunt, 5th aunt's niece-adeline, adeline's mum, adeline's friend-rachel and rachel's bf-micheal.

ok, shall start writing bout my turkey trip.

Day 1 - Wed, 15 Dec
In the afternoon met up with Azrin, cos i hafta get for dear his Christmas prezzie, if not wun have time to get le. Reached home in the evening. went to bathe and prepare then dad send us to the airport. we hafta reach the airport at bout 8 cos our flight is at 2225.

Day 2 - Thurs, 14 Dec
Reached Istanbul at bout 0630-Turkish time which is equals to 1230 Singapore time. That's when we start our trip. It was 5 degree Celsius then. Cos we put our winter coat in a small luggage and checked in, mum forgot bout it. and in the end, the bus driver put tat luggage under the bus. dotz.. so we went to visit mosques, palace, blah blah blah.. and poor didi he only has got his fila wind breaker with him. 5th aunt asked me to put on her winter coat. so i wasn't feeling that cold. luckily i put my cap, scarf and gloves in my sling bag. so i gave my scarf and gloves to edmund. cos we were all very cold, we keep standing near those radiators when we were in the palace. instead of going round the palace looking at those historical stuffs. we were standing beside the radiators, making our hands warmer. After that went for lunch at bout 1. We were super hungry then cos it's already s'pore time 7pm, and we still haven taken our lunch. Had chicken kebab then. After that went to check in at the hotel. it was kinda early then. So we decided to go to the nearby shops to shop for awhile before going for dinner. Dinner was at 7pm. By then i was super tired already, dun feel like eating actually. Went to the restaurant in the hotel. We were the last few to reach so we hafta seperate ourselves to fill up those seats. So everyone was waiting for us. gee.. i was sitting with the principal of PPS then. and he's so funny. he told his wife. "eh, honey! look at all the waiters they all look like mr bean!" I was laughing and laughing non stop. ya, they really looked like mr bean. i mean their face. so mummy and 5th aunt tot i was crazy they asked me wat happened, so i told them, and they were laughing too. kekee..

Day 3 - Fri, 17 DEc [It's Adeline's birthday]
Woke up early in the morning. at 5 if i din remember wrongly. hafta reach airport at 9am cos we hafta catch a flight to the capital of Turkey, Ankara. So reached Ankara at bout 1030am. It was freaking cold there. Even when u breathe, there's 'smoke'. It was -6 dC. (and that stupid agency still tell us Istanbul will be the coldest.) We were all wearing like 3/4 sweaters + winter coat. so we look super fat. hahaa.. Then when to visit museum, blah blah blah again. After that went for lunch. then after that travel to Cappadocia and check in at hotel. after dinner, we went out to buy mineral water, cos the tap water are not drinkable. so we went to the nearby shop to buy. it was only bout 50m away from our hotel. wa, i think night time was even colder. maybe bout -10dC. Each of us bought bout 2/3 bottles. so when we wanted to pay, we saw adeline's bottle was frozen. so we said "eh adeline, y did u take 1 tat's already frozen?" She said that it was initially water but we dun believe. so we asked her to change. then after she changed another one, it was also frozen lo. then she changed again. hahaa.. it's so funny. i think the shopkeeper muz be thinking that we are mad. we even asked him if there's bottles of water which are not frozen one cos we tot it was frozen even be4 we took it. hahaa.. then after that, mummy saw hers was frozen too! so mummy said "eh, mine also frozen le!" it's super fast. once it starts to freeze, in a few secs the whole bottle will become ice. and it's always from the top to the bottom. so we were like "eh quick, let's pay and run back to the hotel", we were all laughing. Then when were all paying, rachel suddenly shouted "eh, i can't see!" We all turned and look at her. Her whole spectacles was filled with fog. then we all started laughing and laughing non stop again.. it was super funny then. Think it's the most funny incident that happened throughout the whole trip. After that we ran to our hotel, then went back to our rooms. sit down for awhile then hafta go for this "bon-fire show". it's an optional thingy la. but most ppl went cos the tour guide keep saying it'll be super boring if we dun go. Its US 30 bucks = S$ 50. Not very nice la. I almost fell asleep. Went there to look at them dance. And drinks are free flow. can drink anything u wan. there's beer, red wine, white wine, blah blah blah. oh ya, the ppl there are damn it lousy in eng. so diff to communicate with them. cos my room's heater was not warm enough for us. so i called the operator to ask if there's anything for me to adjust the temperature. he dun even know what is heater. so i changed to radiator but he still dun understand. wa, was so damn fed up. so he asked me to call receptionist. k, so i called. but she also dun understand lo.. dotz.. but luckily my tour leader and tour guide were there, if not mummy and i will freeze to death man.

Day 4 - Sat, 18 Dec [It's 5th aunt birthday]
Woke up early in the morning. Cos we wanted to take hot-air balloon. my 1st time up on world's third largest hot-air balloon. It's quite ex la. US140 = S$235 per pax. But mum said since we are there, we should try. Furthermore, Turkey is recognised to have the best scenery when u are up on the hot-air balloon. Quite nice la, but all stones and stuffs lo. nice to look from the top. but the pilot say it was even nicer bout 2 weeks ago, cos everything was white. some of the snow has melted so some parts are brownish le. it was super cold then. the pilot say it's -10 dC. i could feel that my feet are freezing. as though they will break when i bend them. think it's cos the base of the basket is made of metal. so i stood on my heels. After that 1 hour ride on the hot air balloon, i was shivering when i got down on the ground. and we hafta climb out of the basket lo. we were already freezing and plus we were all wearing 4 layers of clothing it's super difficult to climb out man. and when i'm on the ground, i can feel that my whole body is damn numb, so difficult to move. but, i still hafta walk a distance to the bus. though they served us hot tea/coffee. but, it din help much. and my hands were numb though i wore gloves. it's super red and and my skin is crumpled. looks like i'm super old with many wrinkles, super disgusting. after that went back to the hotel, had proper breakfast at 9am then left the hotel to visit places again. Went back to the same hotel to stay overnight after all those visitings.

Day 5 - Mon, 19 Dec
After breakfast, we hafta sit in the bus for 11 hours to Pamukkale. yes, 11 hours. but of cos we do get down of the bus to look at things throughout the 11 hours. when we juz started our journey, the bus suddenly broke down. dotz.. it's was so scary, we thought we will be stuck there for hoursSsss... But luckily we din. the bus driver repaired the bus. so after the 11 hours of journey, we reached our hotel at 6pm. This hotel has got lotsa utilities. The most popular one is the thermal pool. it's filled with natural spring water. So after having early dinner, we went for spring bathe at the thermal pool. quite comfy actually. though the water is not those clear swimming pool water. but the water is hot. it's said to be 40 dC. but i dun think it's that hot la. and half of the pool is indoor and the other half is outdoor. i prefer the indoor one cos the water is warmer. but as for outdoor, i think it's special la, think hotels seldom have outdoor thermal pool. so aunt said "wa, we can still swim during winter." But of cos we can't stay in there for too long. it will kill our cells. when i get up from that pool, i feel super giddy lo. mum said it's normal cos of better blood circulation. So after bathing, i went to sleep. As for Edmund, he went for Turkish bathe with Micheal. It's one of the most popular thingy in Turkey la. But i din go for it. erm erm.. it's something like other ppl will bathe for u lo.. they have this special scrub to scrub your whole body, and those dirty black black thingy will come off. nvm la, i dunno how to say.

Day 6 - Mon, 20 Dec
If i'm not wrong nothing much happened today. Juz that we went to the calcium cliff. The whole mountain is white, not cos of snow but it's cos of natural calcium forming on the mountain. ppl will hafta take off their shoes and walk on the cliff. but i din, cos i was wearing stockings. of cos those thick stockings for winter wear, cos i wore skirt on that day. mummy was wearing stockings too, so we din walk on the cliff. And we visited Virgin Mary's last home. blah blah blah...

Day 7 - Tues, 21 Dec
While on our wat to Troia or rather 'troy', when we reached troy, it was raining. so cold and we dun have umbrellas lo. my sweaters and winter coat does not have a cap, so my hair were wet. hmmm.. forgot where else i went le...

Day 8 - Wed, 22 Dec
Early in the moring, hafta take ferry to European side of Istanbul. The ferry is for cars, so we dun have to get down from the bus. i stayed in the bus cos the wind outside was super strong. and there are lotsa sea gulls. din take pic though. After that 30 mins on the ferry, still hafta take like 4 hours of bus journey, but it was snowing!! hahaa.. was so happy cos it was snowing quite heavily. it look like rain actually. but we were on the bus so can't get down to play with the snow. But at 1 of the petrol kiosk they made a comfort stop. it was snowing there too! As me and 5th aunt din wanna go to the toilet, we took pics. gee.. yes, my 1st time seeing snow dropping from the sky... another 1st time of mine at Turkey. After lunch at this Chinese Restaurant, went to Grand Bazaar. Oh, actually was quite excited for it cos it has got 4000 shops. But it was a disappointment. Most of the shops sell almost the same things. After that went back to the hotel, then went for this nightclub dinner. The dances are quite nice la, especially belly dance. the lady can really shake. and the last part was this host. he's super clever man. he can speak all the languages. i mean all the languages of ppl who are there - japaneses, korean, arabic, blah blah.... when they hear that we are from s'pore they will say "ni hao". Then he sang "we are singapore, we are singapore, we will stand together hear the lion roar.........." Edmund was asked to go up to sing. hahaa.. The host is really superb. he can sing a song from all the countries too. we were all so suprised!!

Day 9 - Thurs, 23 Dec
There's no programme for us today. and our flight is only at 2305. So we asked the tour guide for places that we can shop. the 8 of us took 2 cabs to 1 of the shopping malls. Hmmm... this shopping mall is kinda big la, and it looks like paragon. but not so high class la. dun have those extremely banded ones like Gucci, Prada, YSL......... But it has got other brands like Guess, United Colours of Benetton, Levi's, Desiel, blah blah.... Actually wanted to get this Levi's pink coloured pants. cos so sick of normal jeans. But they dun have my size. The smallest they have is 26. so big! i dun have to unzip i can pull down the pants le. The banded stuffs are not cheap la, bout same price or more ex than singapore. The Levi's pants is bout 109,000,000 Turkish money. (yes, their money is super small, S$1.20 is their 1 million. so difficult to count their $$) Mummy wanted to buy this nike sweater for me. But i told not to la. cos when changed to singapore dollars is bout 100. so i told mum it's ok, with that amt of $$ i can get 1 from singapore too, dun have to carry so much things back.. But boughtsome stuffs from MNG.. After that went spice market. then went to take plane and went back home..
